October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

In October, Social4Good Will Support Victims of Domestic Violence

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month - a month created not only to bring more awareness but also to connect and unify the millions of affected victims that had been battered due to domestic violence.

What is domestic violence?  Domestic violence is the willful intimidation, physical assault, battery, sexual assault, and/or other abusive behavior as part of a systematic pattern of power and control perpetrated by one intimate partner against another. It includes physical violence, sexual violence, threats, economic, and emotional/psychological abuse. (Source:  NCADV)

This month, Social4Good will be partnering with The Women's Center.  Based in Vienna, The Women's Center's Break the Cycle Program is designed to meet each victim of domestic violence where they are on their journey to well-being. Our project is designed not only to support 30 clients by wrapping them in warmth and caring with Comfort Baskets, but will also provide financial support for additional survivors by contributing to their Advocacy and Counseling program.

You can support Social4Good's project by making a donation through Grapevine where 100% of your donation supports The Women's Center's victims and programs.  Click here to make a tax-deductible donation and support our mission of making a difference in the lives of victims of domestic violence.
