S4G December Project Brings Winter Warmth to Good Shepherd Housing
December was a busy, successful, and fun month for Social4Good's Good Shepherd Housing Project!
Fill the Truck Nets $1100.60 to Support Good Shepherd Housing (GSH) Families
Over the course of two days, 70+ donors filled a truck with 5,178 pounds of clothing, towels, linens, shoes and accessories which was turned into a donation for Good Shepherd Housing to support their mission to reduce homelessness, increase community support, and promote self-sufficiency. Donors expressed their excitement that cleaning out their closets would help those in need. A spring "Fill the Truck" is planned!
Amazon Wish List and Gift Cards for GSH Families Valued at $1000+
Members shopped an Amazon wish list to provide more than 460 socks, gloves, hats, and other basics and 9 x $25 gift cards for GSH to provide to families in need.
Socially-Distanced, Holiday Celebration at Meadowlark
15 S4G members enjoyed an incredible December evening for a stroll through Meadowlark's Winter Walk of Lights. Wearing masks and glow in the dark necklaces, members enjoyed the opportunity to experience this annual tradition and start the holiday season together.
Special thank you to Team December and S4G members and the Northern Virginia community who supported this project:

Over the course of two days, S4G collected 5,178 pounds of clothing, towels, linens, shoes and accessories which was turned into a donation for Good Shepherd Housing to support their mission to reduce homelessness, increase community support, and promote self-sufficiency.
As closets were turned over for the cold weather, people expressed their excitement that cleaning out their closets would help those in need. S4G plans to host another drive in the spring to support another local nonprofit.
