Collective Philanthropy + Goals = Amazing Results!

Each month, Social4Good organizes events where members can meet old and new friends and support the organizations that make our community strong. In light of the pandemic, on a virtual meeting, Social4Good members set goals to support critical needs at BRAWS and Second Story.

BRAWS, founded in Vienna, Virginia by Holly Seibold, mission is to bring dignity and empowerment to women and girls living in shelters by providing new, personally fitted undergarments and menstrual supplies.

Originally scheduled as Social4Good's May event, BRAWS was moved forward to support the efforts they are making to distributed thousands of donations to local school districts, shelters, food pantries and community partner organizations at drop off services for their families in need.

Social4Good set a goal to sponsor half a pallet of sanitary products. While each case costs $30, members were encouraged to donate the amount that works for them.  In 48 hours, members generously donated over $1000 - sponsoring more than half a pallet.  With this an ongoing need, donations are still accepted!   Click Here to donate to BRAWS - put Social4Good in the notes to be part of our campaign!

Second Story's Teens in Crisis program offers a safe haven to young people in crisis, at no cost to young people or their families.  Each week, community organizations and donors deliver dinners to residents at the program; however, social distancing has significantly impacted donations for this and other Second Story programs.

Seeing a win/win to help those in need and support a local small business, Social4Good members were asked to sponsor a dinner from a local Vienna restaurant.  Members generously responded and Social4Good was able to schedule dinners to be delivered from a different local restaurant for three weeks.

Thank you to Skorpio's Maggio's Greek Family Restaurant and Social Burger for delivering meals free of charge to Second Story for the first two weeks.
